About Case Atlas
Case Atlas, LLC develops practical, evidence-based training for professionals who handle legal decision-making and parenting time cases involving domestic violence. Our goal is accurate assessment: helping courts, attorneys, and evaluators recognize coercive control when it is present, distinguish it from ordinary conflict when it is not, and keep the best interests of the child at the center.
Tess Harmon, MSN, RN | Founder and Lead Instructor
Tess Harmon is a registered nurse with more than ten years of clinical experience, a Master of Science in Nursing, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is also a service-disabled U.S. military veteran.
For nearly two decades, Tess has worked alongside individuals and families navigating family court, and has spent years studying the research on coercive control, trauma, and family court decision-making. That combination gives her a practical understanding of how domestic violence and coercive control surface in legal decision-making and parenting time cases, and where the research shows these cases are most often misread.
Her approach combines clinical knowledge of how trauma affects behavior and functioning with a careful review of the law and research, so that court staff, attorneys, and evaluators can apply what they learn directly to their work.
